After Christmas Getaway

Lovely Beach Place

Convenient location…fall splendor.

This comfortable home in a residential location with wonderful views of the sand dunes and lake was the perfect place for our family gathering. Ages 12 to 77 agreed the place met their needs. The kitchen is well stocked for a large group. The location was perfect for our plans to take the rail trips to admire the fall colors. Easy parking well lit. The youngest enjoyed their hideout upstairs. The elders enjoyed the comfort and views of the living area. Multi generational family group coming together for fun weekend. Clean and roomy

Sibling Reunion

My siblings and spouses needed a place to gather around Duluth. This location was just as advertised. Easy arrival and departure. The place is very well stocked with needed service ware, cooking ware and utensils. Nice big deck to gather and eat on. Lovely big yard. Fantastic proximity to the lake and nice view. The property is quiet albeit the occasional train which runs close to the house but only during the day so not significant.Everything worked well and we had the supplies we needed that were promised to be provided.A good experience! – Kim F.

The property was just as advertised. Neighborhood is quiet and safe. Target and Cub nearby for groceries. 3 great restaurants just down the road downtown Lake Elmo. House is well stocked with everything you need. – James P.

Amazing location

Great place to stay with a family, lake has fishing spits and a wonderful walking path. Location is around everything you need for shopping and food. Highly recommend! –  Dena W.

LAKE PHALEN PLACE – “We had a wonderful experience with this rental. The home was very inviting the moment we stepped into the porch! Loved the idea of taking your outside shoes off before you enter the home. The home was very spacious with a huge kitchen area. We especially took advantage of walking around Lake Phalen everyday. It has a beach and splash pad for those to enjoy. You need to walk there or just a short drive to the other side of the lake. You won’t be disappointed in renting this home!”

“We rented this home for a reunion with another family that we hadn’t seen for almost a year. With seven bedrooms and several different living rooms, we had plenty of room to accommodate everyone. The descriptions in the listing are accurate and the property is well maintained. The owner provides good customer service. We would definitely use this property again. The trails around the lake are a wonderful bonus and the kids, of course, loved having a pool available for their use! Woodbury is a lovely community and you can get most anything you need not going very far at all from the house. The home is in a residential area with close neighbors on either side. It is a very comfortable home, yet you are close enough to many attractions that you feel you have the best of both worlds. We appreciated the kitchen and the gas grill, as we cooked all of our meals, except for the day we went to the Como Zoo and ate lunch there. The Como Zoo is a nice, but small zoo. The amusement park was a nice addition and was a big hit with the kids after walking looking at the animals. All in all, we were very pleased with our first experience with a vacation rental. The beds were very comfortable, with plenty of linens and blankets, and the shower pressure was great, too. This was much better than a hotel for about the same money per night for our two families.” – Gina B.

LAKE PHALEN PLACE – “A nice place to stay. The house provides lots of room for a family. Location was also nice. A good choice for our family with lots of space. We enjoyed the outdoor patio area and walking the trails by the lake. A quiet neighborhood allowing us to sleep well. Bill was very prompt to fix a shower head in the master bedroom.”– Marie

“Hi Bill and family–I wanted you to know how much my family and I enjoyed our week at the cabin. For us, it was a near-perfect spot. We’ve been to the north shore several times over the past years and truly love the lake shoreline. The area is so unspoiled by commercial development, slick mega-condo-units, or touristy attractions. As a dairy farmer, my husband seldom has a day, let alone a week, to relax–and so we wanted more than anything to find a quiet, pretty, private, hastle-free place for our family vacation. How delighted we were to find your lovely, comfortable lake home–where we could sleep late in peace and quiet, sit on the deck and watch the ducks, loons and ore boats, hunt for rocks on the shore, throw and hit softballs in the yard, grill out in the evening (then load the dishes in the dishwasher!) read and watch TV till time to sit on the deck to watch the moon reflect over the lake–and then begin again the next day. In addition your yard was a joy to wander about in. I can still see the orange wildflowers, the yellow lilies, the pink peonies, the purple spikes, the forest area, the shoreline wild growth–it all was simply beautiful.” –  Jennifer and Tim C.
